On our Way

What a fun time we had. We got lost (we definitely needed a gps). But I was taking photos even while driving (Daddy wasn’t happy about that but He’d better get used to. Carlita is getting like Mommy). It was a blast when we made it to Wild Animal Parkt. But, the first ride had to be the merry go round.

Pajaro Campana_multi






Journaling:
Pajaro campana (Bell bird). It’s a song about a bird (bellbird or calandria) from South America (Chile, Paraguay). The instruments used to describe this bird are the harp and guitar. The dancers are dressed up like the birds that are playing, eating and at the end they go to sleep.

Silver Anniversary





Journaling:
It was my grandparents silver anniversary. My mom traveled by bus from Lima to Piura (12 hour ride) with me in her lap. Get to Piura to prepare all the food for the party. I don’t remember the bus ride (which my mom remembers very clear because she sat next to somebody with a bad temper). But, I remember the sewing (which it was the last details of my grandmother’s dress). I didn’t even remember the reason of the party (but I remember that I wanted to go to bed). What we both remember is that they were great times and an unforgettable party.

Every summer you always amaze us Connie, how can you advance so much even that we don’t have a pool. You were in level 4th the youngest one in your group. Babushka

I had the most wonderful time when we went to Barcelona in 2001. Tia Carito took me shopping all over the place and I found this hole on the wall place that was selling the most beautiful babushka dolls. I got so captivated, even the smallest one has so much detail. You can see it with a magnified glass. It brings back the little girl on me every time I see them.
